Digital Engagement Support Officer (Ref. DESO-PAD)

Job Purposes:

Plan, execute and oversee social media strategy and digital content to ensure alignment with the Council’s objectives in order to elevate brand visibility and recognition across all social platforms, engaging the public effectively and raising their awareness in consumer protection.

 

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Multi-media or related discipline with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a role focused on social media, preferably in sizable organisations or agencies
  2. Strong understanding of social media platforms, especially Facebook and Instagram, along with a strong grasp of the best practices for each
  3. Proficiency in written and spoken Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua) and English; and well-versed in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  4. Knowledge in graphic design and video production tools with hands-on experience is definitely an advantage
  5. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, energetic, and highly organised; A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop social content and digital strategy
  2. Draft, edit and proofread social posts, digital campaigns and communication materials
  3. Work closely with in-house designers to generate engaging content tailored for respective social media platforms, ensuring it resonates with our audience
  4. Edit existing videos into shorter versions for social media purpose; Depends on complexity, either accomplish the task independently or in collaboration with in-house video editors
  5. Keep abreast of the latest social media trends, best practices, and emerging platforms; Analyse social media data and customer behaviour and adjust content to maximise engagement and growth
  6. Handle other ad hoc assignments as required

 

Terms of Appointment & Fringe Benefits

Appointment will be offered on a 3-year fixed-term contract.  Fringe benefits include paid leave, medical insurance and MPF.
