Planning and Trade Practices Division
1-year fixed-term contract
Requirements:
- A recognised university degree or equivalent in Economics, Business, Statistics, Data Management and Analytics, Social Science or Public Policy
- Strong research background with practical experience in data collection, compilation and analysis
- Hands-on experience in using statistical software is an advantage
- Proficiency in writing English and Chinese reports
- Be able to work under pressure and independently
- At least 3 years relevant post-qualification work experiences. Candidates of good qualifications but less work experience may also apply
Responsibilities:
- Design, plan and conduct studies relating to consumer protection issues
- Prepare submissions in response to consultations and inputs for enquiries
- Liaise with stakeholders on research projects and promotion of good trade practices
- Carry out data monitoring and updating work, work at non-office hours when needed
- Support the Council’s works as assigned
Terms of Appointment & Fringe Benefits
Appointment will be offered on a 1-year fixed-term contract. Fringe benefits include paid leave, medical insurance and MPF. Contract may be renewed subject to available project fund resources and satisfactory work performance.
