Maclaren USA Inc. has received a number of reports of children placing their finger in the strollers' hinge mechanism, resulting in fingertip amputations in the United States. Maclaren USA, Inc., in co-operation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), announced on 9 November 2009 a voluntary product recall to repair strollers.
