Reason For Issuing Alert

-  The Centre for Food Safety (CFS), through its Food Incident Surveillance System, has seen notices issued by the Food Standards Agency of the United Kingdom and the Food Safety Authority of Ireland indicating that the above-mentioned product may contain metal fragments and is being recalled.   

-   After a preliminary investigation, the CFS confirmed that the above-mentioned importer had imported into Hong Kong the affected batch of the product.

Action Taken by the Centre for Food Safety

-   The importer concerned has stopped sales and removed from shelves the affected product and has initiated a recall according to the CFS's instructions.

-   ​The CFS has alerted the trade to the incident and will continue to follow up and take appropriate action. An investigation is ongoing.

Advice to the Trade

Stop using or selling the affected batch of the product immediately if they possess it

Advice to Consumers

Not to consume the affected batch of the product if they have bought it
