In this update were published the test results of 24 new models comprising one digital SLR and the others compact camera type, and ranging in price from $1,480 to $13,680.
The output resolution of the samples ranged from 3.0 to 8.2 mega pixels, with nine of them 5.9 mega pixels or above.
Picture quality, short movie quality, viewfinder and monitor quality, flash performance, battery performance, versatility and ease of use were compared.
The test showed that most samples produced at least satisfactory overall picture quality. However flash performance, battery performance, versatility and ease of use differed significantly.
