Requirements:

  1. A degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science or equivalent; ITIL certification preferred
  2. A minimum of six years of hands-on experience in networking, server infrastructure, virtual machine platforms, SAN, Linux servers, VPN, firewalls, cloud infrastructure, and Windows Server administration
  3. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Cloud products is essential
  4. Working knowledge of VoIP phone systems, network, and internet security is preferred
  5. Hands-on experience in IT security, including the implementation, monitoring, and management of security measures to protect systems, networks, and data
  6. Experience with security frameworks and tools, such as SIEM, vulnerability assessment tools, and endpoint protection solutions is an advantage
  7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a good command of English and Chinese.  Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
     

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide daily support and maintenance for application systems and computer equipment.  This includes identifying user problems and recommending solutions based on defined policies and procedures or recorded actions in helpdesk records
  2. Implement, monitor, and manage IT security measures to protect the Council’s systems, networks, and data from potential threats and breaches
  3. Conduct regular security assessments, including vulnerability scans, penetration tests, and risk analyses, and implement mitigation measures
  4. Ensure compliance with the Council’s IT security policies and regulatory requirements by maintaining and updating security documentation and protocols
  5. Conduct unit testing to ensure the accuracy of deliverables and meet project or system implementation specifications
  6. Prepare, assess, and review IT documentation, such as network diagrams, system equipment lists, and incident reports, accurately and promptly
  7. Assist in developing solutions for business systems to meet specifications for the Council’s approved requests for change and new development
  8. Provide daily support and maintenance for desktop PCs, Macintosh systems, network infrastructure, communication equipment and IT security
  9. Coordinate with end users and system vendors to maintain computer systems
     

Terms of Appointment & Fringe Benefits

Appointment will be offered on a 1-year fixed-term contract.  Fringe benefits include paid leave, medical insurance and MPF.
