2-year fixed-term contract
Job Purposes:
The role is responsible in supporting the Public Affairs Division across various functions including media monitoring, event organisation and video production, as well as providing administrative support to the day-to-day operations of the Division. Reporting to the Senior Public Affairs Officer, the incumbent will be able to learn the basic skills of media relations, event organisation and publicity, as well as new media production.
Requirements:
- Post-secondary qualification in Communications, PR, Journalism, Marketing or related discipline with 2 years of experience in sizable organisations or agencies
- Fresh graduate with related internship experience may also apply
- Solid experience in web publication tools and applications is an advantage
- Self-motivated, service-oriented, and a good team player
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua), and MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Responsibilities:
- To provide logistic support for Council’s events, media and marketing activities
- To assist in monitoring media reports and the preparation of daily news clippings
- To assist in writing and producing press releases, presentations, and social media posts
- To assist in video production and handling post-production transcription
- To assist in managing the Council’s online platforms
- To collect and catalog library resources including books, films, annual reports, magazines and publications
- To perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors
Terms of Appointment & Fringe Benefits
Appointment will be offered on a 2-year fixed-term contract. Fringe benefits include paid leave, medical insurance and MPF.
